PERSONAL TRAINING
Jennifer has 28 years of experience as a Personal Trainer.
She has numerous certifications including ACSM CPT,
TPI Level 1 Golf Fitness, IHC Level 3, Heartwise,
Older Adult/Osteoporosis to name but a few.
GENERAL POPULATION
Overall strength, flexibility, mobility, and stability with a large emphasis on posture are needed generally by everyone. An assessment is performed with the individual. This consists of a health history evaluation, the goals of the client, evaluating physical weakness and strengths, physical limitations, nutrition consultation, and health concerns are discussed. With this information and specific training program is designed for the client. Continuing change of the exercises with more challenge over a series of weeks, allows the client to achieve their goals.
REHABILITATION
Following treatment from physiotherapists, clients "graduate" to more intense training to complete their recovery to normal or better than previous physical conditions.
These clients include pre and post-surgical cases, motor vehicle accident victims, dialysis clients, stroke and heart attack survivors, and sports or related injury cases.
OLDER ADULTS
Older adult training is more functionally oriented. Recovery time takes longer than when in our younger years, therefore, programs are designed specifically to meet each individual's needs.
SPORT SPECIFIC
Each sport requires muscle specific and proper kinetic sequencing of movements. Golf specific training will be designed more towards quick response muscle training for some muscle groups and mobility and stability exercises must be incorporated.
Runners require both endurance muscle training and fast response muscle training dependant upon the type of running they are doing.
Tennis players require rapid muscle training, flexibility, mobility and stability exercises.
Each program, no matter what sport, is designed specifically for the requirement of the sport(s) the individual participates in.
